Located 10 minutes away this large maize maze, plus high-tech funhouse, kids’ adventure activities and pig racing, opens July to September.
York Races
Around 30 minutes away from the park York Racecourse is a horse-racing venue in York, North Yorkshire, England. It is the third biggest racecourse in Britain and has regular race meetings.
York City
Around 20 minutes away York City Centre is a warren of cobbled streets overlooked by Gothic-style York Minster cathedral, known for its stained-glass windows. Family-friendly attractions include JORVIK Viking Centre, York Dungeons, with Old Norse dioramas, and recreated Victorian streets at the Castle Museum. The Tudor-era Shambles is a quaint lane with antique shops, and chocolatiers, plus a daily market. Traditional pubs line the River Ouse.
Pocklington
10 minutes away from the park is Pocklington, which is a market town and civil parish, situated at the foot of the Yorkshire Wolds in the East Riding of Yorkshire. Pocklington hosts many annual and one-off events that are attended by both local residents and visitors from further afield. Popular annual events include the Pocklington Rugby 7’s, the Flying Man Festival, Pocklington Summer Fair, bonfire & fireworks display and a Christmas market to name a few.
Beverley
20 miles away is Beverley, which is also one of Yorkshire’s best-kept secrets. Renowned for its exquisite 13th Century Minster, the town is home to a lively market, a thriving music scene, excellent flat racing and a medieval skyline that remains refreshingly unspoilt.
Castle Howard
Castle Howard is a large stately home located around 25 miles from the site. It is a private residence and has been home to the Howard family for over 300 years. The house and gardens are open to the public, and were the setting for the recent Netflix hit Bridgerton and Brideshead Revisited.
